RE: Leaving hitch in?

Not here in Alberta, but I believe Saskatchewan has a law like that. You will get a fine for it.

RE: Can't move TT. Wheels/brakes locked?

Ditto on the advice about checking the cable for the electric brakes, this happened to us, trailer wouldn't budge until we noticed the cable had come out.

RE: Glacier National Park

We stayed there last summer, beautiful campground. We have a 30 ft TT and had a very big site, #18 I think. Also stayed at the KOA down the road. Very tight and very open. If you want a treed campground, it is great.

RE: location of ac in the TT

Having had both roof air and ducted air in both of our 30 ft trailers, they both seemed about equal in cooling it down. Maybe a matter of a couple of minutes difference, thats all.

RE: Glacier National Park, Montana

We stayed at the West Glacier KOA and at Mountain Meadows. Next time I go back, we will stay at Mountain Meadows, what a beautiful campground if you like lots of trees. Koa is nice , but very open, however, has a pool if that is important to you.

RE: Are new TT required to have weight stickers on them?

Having just imported a trailer from the US to Canada, I learned that is absolutely required by the US and CAN to have a sticker on every trailer stating weights. Not just for import/export, its the law. Don't believe anyone who tells you they are not needed.

RE: Gambling on prices going down...

I agree with Jack/Diane,, its a holiday afterall, I mean we could stay home and save the money and camp here at the lake, not quite the same. Gas is not going to go down, only up.It doesn't seem to have stopped anyone around here.

RE: Buying a Rockwood in Alberta or RVW?

Oooo, all that salesman BS makes me mad!! We just bought from a great dealer in Bozeman Montana and saved thousands. Here they were telling me about the wiring and propane regulators being different and all that BS. Right on the side of my trailer is a decal that says "this trailer meets all US and CAN requirements" Total******about the wiring and all the other stuff. They have promised me that I will NOT get service here in Canada. Jayco's head office had something quite different to say. They said they will deal with them at a corporate level if they refuse me service and even gave me a little letter to take with me from them. These guys here don't give an inch, they are getting tons of business from Albertans with lots of money and don't give any deals away, they don't have to and really don't care. ARGGG, my blood pressure!

RE: How firm to make sway bar?loosen for turning?

We just got a new sway bar and weight dist. setup for our new trailer and the dealer told us to tighten the sway bar until it was tight, don't overforce it. He told us never to back up with it on. So if yours is like ours, you turn it a few times until tight and thats it. Hope that helps.

RE: Rafter J won't be open--Help

Don't know if it is open then either, but the Koa, very close to Rafter J bar is nice too, some sites are riciculously crowded, but we had a fabulous site up behind the office in the woods.

RE: TT accident in NH

No seatbelt law in NH?? Wow, I thought seatbelts were law everywhere by now. At least the wife and child were smart enough to wear theirs. Could have been worse, and maybe killed others too.

RE: Travel Cruiser by R-Vision Forum ???

We previously owned a Trail Cruiser 30QBSS and loved it, had no problems whatsoever. I think it is a well made product, felt solid and towed well. Good Luck!

RE: New restrictions on importing RVs?

I know several people who have recently purchased RV's, cars and motorcycles in the US. My son also purchased a 1987 Honda Civic CRX from Knoxville, TN, last year and none of them have had any problems. Actually they have all commented on how easy the transactions at the border went, since of course, they all had done their homework and had all of their paperwork in order ahead of time.
I agree, we imported a 07 Suburban in Nov, and just this week a travel trailer from Montana at huge savings. If you do all your homework it is a simple process, a little legwork involved, but well worth it. I don't know too many people who bring back vehicles that are older than 15 years anyway.

RE: Best campground near Glacier Ntl Pk

You will love Mountain Meadows, One of the nicest campgrounds we have stayed at, and the prices were reasonable, I think if you stay a week, you get the last night free. They have a website.

RE: Best campground near Glacier Ntl Pk

We stayed at Mountain Meadows RV park, just a few miles from the park gates. Beautiful campground, lots of woods and nice sites. It was our basecamp for Glacier, you will love it. Also stayed at the KOA down the road, typical squished in campground, but has a pool.
